May's Suicide Note

The Secret Life of Bees is a good book. So far, what I find interesting about it is that when May took away her life, she left a letter behind. It basically said for the sisters to live their lives and go on with their lives and not to hold back. I really felt bad beacause she took her life. I understand, because it was from stress, but she still needed to take care of them and watch out for them. June decided to get married now that May said to live their lives and go on. I just wonder: is June really going to get married? How does Lily feel about the change that is going to happen?

  1. It is interesting and inspiring that while May's death is tragic, it causes positive changes in June's life. I think it's a testament to the positive power of May's love that even after her death she is able to inspire her sisters.

  3. I think if it wasn't for May's death and May's suicide note, June wouldn't have decided to get married. I think June wanted May to be happy and decided to fufill May's wish.
